Description: Original series of 5 illustrations created for Chris Kalman’s latest climbing novela, “Dammed If you Don’t” (DIYD). These are for sale only as the complete set of 5 illustrations. This is the 2nd book I have illustrated for Chris, the first being “As Above So Below.” Creating these illustrations has been a great honor and also some of the most challenging work of my career. In order to illustrated the rich narrative, I pushed my technique and style in new directions, incorporating subjects and other elements unique to these pieces. The result has been the culmination of many weeks of toiling, digging deep into my creative reserves. In doing so, I feel like I created something truly unique, with deep meaning, and something that does justice to Chris’ beautiful work.

Dimensions/medium: The dimensions of each illustration is 14” x 9.” They are created with archival pen and ink on archival Rives BFK paper.

Framing options:

#1 - Unframed

#2 - All five pieces displayed side by side in one frame. The frame size would be about 56” x 18.” The illustrations will be displayed floating behind plexiglass with about an inch of spacing between each piece. You can view my “framing” page to learn more about my handmade frames.
