"Entrada Dreams" (original artwork with handmade frame)
Description: I began climbing in the Utah desert almost 25 years ago, and it had been almost 6 years since my last visit with my wife who was pregnant at the time. Last fall I spent a couple weeks there climbing and making art. While I got some good climbing in, one of the highlights was exploring this landscape with my 2 and 5 year old daughters, who experienced this place for the first time. We spent a few days exploring and making art together, and this is one of the pieces of Monitor and Marrimac Buttes just outside of Canyonlands National Park.
*** It is framed in one of my handmade frames and ready to hang. This frame is made of birch (slightly bleached) with oak splines and clear stain. The cost of the piece reflects the added cost of the frame (you can reference details and costs of my frames on the “handmade frame” page of my website).
Medium: Watercolor and pen/ink on Fabriano 300lb watercolor paper
Dimensions: artwork (22” x 10”) with frame 26” x 14.”
