Granite Ghosts (study)
Granite Ghosts (study)
Description: This is an old piece from a body of work of mine named “Granite Ghosts” I created over 15 years ago. The larger body of work, named “Granite Ghosts, “ was inspired by my time in Cochise Stronghold in the Sonoran Desert of Southern Arizona. This specific piece wasn’t included in that larger body of work’s solo exhibit, and was really more of an artistic topo/journalistic illustration of a formation that I put up a couple of climbing firsts-ascents on - hence the lettering which at various times in my career has played a large role in my art. In many ways, this piece is really special and unique because it kind of stands alone from the rest of the work. You can reference the Granite Ghosts project and the pieces which were part of a solo art exhibit on the “Projects/Granite Ghosts” page of my website.
